“Bro, You Seem Aggressive… Can I Actually Work With You?”

I've heard some version of this before:

“Bro, you seem aggressive.”

“Are you sure you're easy to work with?”

“Do you think people can handle your personality?”

And honestly?

Yeah.

But there's probably a misunderstanding of what people mean when they say “aggressive.”

Because what some people call aggressive, I call being direct.

I'm not someone who enjoys unnecessary drama.

I'm not looking for arguments.

I'm not trying to overpower people.

What I value is something pretty simple:

Realness.

If you're fake, then yeah… we probably aren't going to be a good fit.

If you avoid conversations, hide issues, say one thing and do another, or let problems build up instead of addressing them?

That's where things get complicated.

But if you can communicate, disagree respectfully, and keep things graceful even when we don't see eye to eye?

We're probably going to be completely fine.

I Don't Look For People Who Never Disagree

One thing I think people misunderstand is they assume a good partnership means everyone always agrees.

That's not reality.

The best teams disagree.

The best friendships disagree.

The best business relationships have moments where people challenge each other.

The difference is how you handle it.

Can you have a tough conversation without taking it personally?

Can you admit when something needs to be adjusted?

Can you communicate like a grown adult instead of avoiding the issue?

That's what matters.

My Problem Is Never The Conversation

My problem has never been someone saying:

“Hey, I disagree.”

That's normal.

My problem is when someone chooses the opposite route.

Avoiding.

Dodging.

Pretending everything is fine while quietly letting resentment build.

That's where unnecessary problems come from.

Because usually the people who eventually get called out aren't people who simply made mistakes.

They're people who made it clear they took my kindness for weakness.

They had opportunities to communicate.

They had opportunities to be honest.

They had opportunities to handle things the right way.

But instead, they kept pushing boundaries.

And over time, those little things add up.

It starts feeling less like a misunderstanding and more like someone is intentionally playing in your face.

Kindness Isn't Weakness

I think this is something a lot of people misunderstand about me.

I'm actually very patient.

I give people room.

I try to understand different perspectives.

I don't immediately assume the worst.

But patience doesn't mean unlimited tolerance.

Being kind doesn't mean someone gets to repeatedly disrespect boundaries.

There's a difference.

Every Situation Is Different

With all that being said, I'm also not someone who thinks every situation is black and white.

Every person is different.

Every circumstance is different.

Context matters.

I'll always keep that in mind.

I'm not interested in judging people unfairly or assuming I know everything.

But I do believe in one thing:

Treat people with respect.

Communicate clearly.

Handle things like an adult.

If you do that, you'll probably never have an issue with me.

Because at the end of the day, I'm not looking for perfect people.

I'm looking for real ones.
